Andy Murray launches online charity auction
A charity auction’s been launched by Dunblane’s Andy Murray, ahead of his Live show at the Hydro in November.
Anthony Joshua’s signed boxing glove, an Ivan Lendl tennis racket, and Ryder Cup tickets are among the items going under the hammer.
Last year’s event raised over 300-thousand pounds for charity – Roger Federer’s among the players taking part this year.
Andy Murray said, “Last year’s Andy Murray Live raised £305,000 for charity and our plans for this year are even more ambitious.
“By taking part in the auction you will be supporting this year’s two charities – children’s charity Unicef and Glasgow-based, Sunny-sid3up.
“I really appreciate your support.”
To celebrate the launch of the auction, a competition will run, with one lucky winner receiving a signed, framed racket used by Andy during this year’s Wimbledon Championships.
