Falkirk begin search for new boss as Paul Hartley leaves

Falkirk have begun the search for a new manager.

Paul Hartley left his role last night, with the club saying both parties came to a “mutual agreement”

Gordon Young has taken over as interim boss, with a recruitment process already underway for Hartley’s long-term replacement.

Falkirk are bottom of the Championship, after losing their first three games this season.

Hartley’s exit arrives following a dreadful 3-0 defeat at home to Queen of the South.
He’d been allowed to carry out an extensive revamp of the first team squad over the summer, with 16 new additions.
But after failing to pick up any points in his opening three games, the board quickly moved to make a change.
The Bairns are next in action on Saturday when they head to title favourites Ross County.
