Miners’ strike Police review to take place in Fallin
Communities in the Forth Valley affected by the 1980s miners’ strike have been invited to an event in Fallin this evening.
Members of the public are being asked to share their experiences with an Advisory Panel, as part of an Independent Review into the dispute.
Evidence gathered will be included in a report, that will be given to the Justice Secretary Humza Yousaf.
Today’s event will be held between 6pm and 9pm at the Fallin Miners’ Wefare Society and Social Club.
ohn Scott QC Solicitor Advocate, who leads the Independent Review, said:
“If you were a miner, part of a mining community, a police officer or in some other way affected by, or involved in, the strike, I am really interested to hear about your experiences. If you can, please join us at one of these events, or respond to our call for evidence.”
