New 26 to 30 year old railcard introduced
Millions of people between the ages of 26 and 30 could benefit from reduced train fares, thanks to the introduction of a new rail card.
The “Millennial Card” cuts standard ticket prices by a third and is valid across the UK.
There’s also plans to introduce a similar card for 16 and 17 year olds.
Stephen Kerr, MP for Stirling, said:
“These announcements will make a significant difference to millions of young commuters and rail users across the country, including many in Stirling. 3.3 million trips are made to and from Stirling stations every year. I encourage all regular rail users in this age range to take full advantage and sign up for the new card.”
