Forth Valley Rape Crisis Centre gets nearly £400,000 in lottery funding

A local charity – that offers support to people affected by sexual violence – has been given almost £400,000 in funding.

Forth Valley Rape Crisis Centre will use the money to help more than 200 people across the region.

The group have also been working with the new ‘Meadows’ centre in Larbert, which supports victims of sexual crime.

Elsewhere, Westfield Park Community Centre in Falkirk has received £150,000.

The group operate a community centre in the Middlefield area of Falkirk which delivers a range of social, health and wellbeing activities and services for local people.

This project will allow the management committee of volunteers to engage a Project Worker to provide management support as well as support to maintain and enhance the activities and services on offer within the centre.

The project will benefit 900 people – and involve 60 volunteers over three years.
