High Roller Beats The House Of Cards Record
12 Mar 10 -
The world's largest casino has been rebuilt - as the world's largest-ever house of cards.
American architect Bryan Berg has broken his own record by completing the mini Venetian Macau with 218,792 playing cards.
The structure, which took 44 days to create, has nearly collapsed several times - with no glue or sticky-tape holding the cards together.
Visitors of the Chinese casino can also review the 10-metre by three-metre construction themselves, with the replica created inside the building near to the gaming floors.
"This has been the most ambitious project I have undertaken to date," Mr Berg said.
"It's really like a real construction project because you have to engineer every single adjacency and every support that's supporting everything above."
Officially, Mr Berg's effort sets the Guinness World Record for the largest house of free-standing playing cards.
