Prisoner jailed for attacking Stirling inmate with pool cue

A prisoner who battered a Stirling man with a pool cue has been jailed for five months.

The attack on 20 year old Ryan Liddell happened just weeks after he'd been convicted of assaulting and attempting to rape a pensioner in her own home.

Thomas Lees, who's also 20, smashed Liddell over the head with the three foot long pole at Polmont Young Offenders Institute in an argument.

He pleaded guilty to the assault at Falkirk Sheriff Court.
