Ryan Liddell to appeal conviction and sentence
A Stirling man found guilty of assaulting and trying to rape a pensioner is to appeal against his conviction and sentence.
Ryan Liddell attacked the 76 year old woman after gaining entry to her home by pretending to be her carer.
The 21 year old was made the subject of a lifelong restriction order and told he must spend at least six years behind bars.
Liddell's instructed his lawyers to begin the process of appeal.
