Two reports published today by NHS Scvotland

The extent of cheap alcohol sales in Scotland has been shown in two new reports by NHS Health Scotland.

The first report shows in the past five years adults in Scotland have bought 24 per cent more alcohol than people in the rest of the UK.

And the second looks at how cheap alcohol actually is.

In the off-trade sector overall 16 per cent of alcohol was sold at less than 30 pence per unit of alcohol.

It comes as the SNP are trying to pass the alcohol bill which includes minimum pricing on alcohol.
