Fresh appeal for information over assault and robbery of an elderly woman
The 87 year from Callender was assaulted last Sunday.
Police investigating the assualt and robbery of an elderly woman in Callender are issuing a fresh appeal for information.
They are appealing for anyone who may have been on the Main Street area at around quarter to 2 in the morning on Sunday the 18th of July.
The 87 year old woman was assualted and robbed within her home in the Marshall Crescent area.
Police say this part of the town would have been busy with people leaving pubs and they are keen to hear from anyone who was that area to get in touch.
Detective Sergeant Frank McCann, of Stirling CID, said: “Following inquiries we are now appealing for anybody who may have been in the Main Street area of the town between 1.30am and 2am to contact us. We are especially keen to hear from anybody who was on this street between Ancaster Square and the junction on Main Street with Cross Street and Bridge Street.
“This part of the town would have been busy with people leaving pubs and we are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in this area to come forward. “
Although not injured the elderly woman was taken to Stirling Royal Infirmary and is currently being cared for by her family
