Strathcarron Big Birthday Tea
Central FM, Solicitors for Older People Scotland and Strathcarron Hospice have joined together to present the Big Birthday Tea Party!
Help celebrate Strathcarron Hospice’s 38th birthday and help Linda care for patients at Strathcarron Hospice. Host a Big Birthday Tea on 3rd May. Simply host a coffee morning, bake sale or afternoon tea at home, work or in the community and raise funds to support Strathcarron Hospice.
Central FM will be making some surprise visits to those registered to host their Big Birthday Tea on 3rd May so register now for your chance to be live on air with the team. If 3rd May doesn’t suit, you can host your Tea Party on any day throughout April and May and help raise funds to support patient care. Just £24 could pay for one hour of nursing care so every penny really will make a difference.
We have everything you need to help make your fundraising a success and will send you a range of great fundraising materials when you sign up, including edible cake toppers, balloons, bunting, posters and recipe cards.
So what are you waiting for? Startup a group chat or call some friends and put some plans in action for your idea of a great tea party! If you are unable to host or attend a tea party and you would like to make a donation to the hospice to help support the amazing work they do, you are very welcome to do so!
Strathcarron Hospice is here today for and because of the people of Forth Valley, Cumbernauld and Kilsyth. Every year, they provide care and support to over 1,400 people with a life-limiting illness or condition, at a time when both they and their family need it most. Their philosophy is about living until you die and they ensure people have every opportunity to achieve their goals right up until the last moment. Strathcarron is an independent hospice and all of our care is provided free of charge. Their services include a 24-bed inpatient unit, Day Care, Hospice@Home, Community Nurse Specialists, Lymphoedema Clinic. They need to raise over £12,900 a day to keep these services running.
The hospice needs to raise over £12,900 a day
£24c can pay for a Strathcarron Hospice Nurse for one hour
£145 can pay for bereavement support session for one adult or child
£182 can pay for one person to attend Day Care for one day at the Hospice
£459 can cover the cost of caring for one patient in the Hospice for one day
£624 can cover the cost of caring for one patient at home in their last two weeks of life
Without the support of the local community, they would not be able to provide these services. Your Big Tea will help them continue to ‘make every moment count’ for all of their patients and their families across Forth Valley, Cumbernauld and Kilsyth.
