Stirling’s independent businesses are set to be recognised with a series of awards launched by the city’s Business Improvement District (BID)

The Independent Stirling Business Awards 2024 will celebrate and reward business owners and teams which run Stirling’s outstanding businesses and organisations that make up the flourishing independent scene. 

There are a range of categories covering the retail, hospitality, hair & beauty and professional services sectors and the awards will be presented during a black-tie ceremony at the city’s Albert Halls next March.

Nominations close on Monday December 11 and following the announcement of a longlist of the most popular businesses, a second round of voting will open just before Christmas to choose a shortlist of winners in each category.

Go Forth Stirling is seeking sponsors who are keen to demonstrate their commitment to Stirling’s business community by backing the awards.

The Stirling Business Awards are a non-profit making event. All sponsorship will be used to make the event a great experience for all involved and support the businesses especially in the current climate.

The Independent Stirling Business Awards follow the launch of a bespoke website, Independent Stirling, which was set up by Go Forth to promote independent traders and encourage people to champion them and shop local.

It features a business directory, blogs, photos and profile articles highlighting the stories and personalities behind many of the city’s unique independent outlets. It also includes a Christmas Gift guide.
