A man has been charged with murder after a woman was stabbed to death in northwest London, police have said.
Najiib Raytaan, 25, of Harlesden Road, appeared at Willesden Magistrates' Court on Monday, the Metropolitan Police said in a statement.
He has since been remanded in custody and will next appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday.
Police were called to reports of a stabbing on Pound Lane, Willesden, at around 4pm on Saturday, where they found an injured 50-year-old woman.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, the force said, adding that the victim and the suspect were known to each other and that detectives were not looking for anyone else in relation to her death.
Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams, in charge of policing for Barnet, Brent and Harrow, said: "This is a tragic incident and our thoughts remain with the victim's family, friends and all those who have been affected."
He added that the incident "was witnessed by several members of the public".
