Clacks Council facing "challenging" pressures

Council tax across Clackmannanshire is set to rise by 5.6%.

The local authority will set out their budget next week, amid "challenging" financial pressures.

They're facing a budget gap of £10 million this year.

Savings of £24.4 million are needed by 2032.

Last year, council tax across Clackmannanshire rose by 13%.

A report says there's limited scope for more savings after a decade of "significant" reductions - as well as rising demand for services.

£35 million has been earmarked for the new Wellbeing Hub and Lochies School this year.
