The head of Strathcarron Hospice say they're facing "increasing demand".
A report by Hospice UK says hospices across Scotland are being stretched "to breaking point".
Two-thirds of hospices have made cuts, or are planning to make cuts.
Strathcarron Hospice need to raise £115,000 a week to keep their services running.
Mags McCarthy, CEO Strathcarron Hospice, “Like many hospices, Strathcarron is facing increasing demand and growing financial pressure, but we want to reassure our communities that we are not closing beds or making colleagues redundant.
We remain deeply grateful for the wonderful local support that helps us continue delivering vital, specialist care. However, the need for a sustainable funding model for hospices is now critical.
As we approach our 45th anniversary next year, our commitment is to ensure Strathcarron Hospice is here for the next 45 years and beyond, because hospice care is essential, and families need us now more than ever.”
