More than 1,000 children in Falkirk are set to miss out on free transport to school.
Council documents show the local authority is facing a budget gap of £64.4 million over the next five years.
The move will save Falkirk Council £625,000 a year.
They'll meet next week to approve it.
From August 2024, secondary school pupils will need to live three miles away to get free travel.
89% of people who responded to a survey said they disagreed with the plans.
It follows a series of meetings at schools across Falkirk.
Parents had their say at Grangemouth, Braes, St Mungo's and Denny High.
