Temporary visiting restrictions at hospitals across the Forth Valley have been lifted.
It's after new figures suggest flu levels are beginning to stabilise.
NHS Forth Valley is asking visitors to check with local wards before attending.
The health board visiting restrictions may be reintroduced in the future.
NHS Forth Valley Executive Nurse Director, Prof Karen Goudie, said: “We have seen some early positive signs which suggests flu cases, particularly in local hospitals have reduced. This means we can ease the visiting restrictions and use of face masks, and I would like to thank the public, patients and staff for cooperating with these temporary arrangements over the last few weeks.
“However, there is no room for complacency, and we will continue to closely monitor the situation and may reintroduce restrictions if cases of flu begin to rise. It is also important to remember that the virus is still circulating in our communities so please avoiding visiting hospitals, care homes or other healthcare settings if you are feeling unwell. Even mild cold or flu symptoms may have serious consequences for vulnerable patients.”
“Please continue to practice good hand hygiene and consider wearing a face mask if you are attending a healthcare appointment and have any concerns about your infection risk. Face masks remain available at the entrances to wards and clinical areas.”
