Man dies in Stenhousemuir following a road accident

A man was pronounced dead at the scene after being hit by a driver in the early hours of Friday morning.

A 36 year-old man has died after being hit by a car in the early hours of Friday morning in Stenhousemuir. 

The incident took place just after midnight in Main Street. 

A 26 year-old man has been arrested by police for in connection with a road traffic offence.

The road was closed for 5 hours to allow police to conduct their investigation. 

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or who has any information/video footage to contact them on 101 quoting incident number 0029 of March 11.
