There are calls to keep a vital service open, which helps children with additional support needs.
Falkirk Council is considering closing the Interrupted Learning Service, amid budget cuts.
Nearly 500 people have signed a petition against the move.
Parents have raised concerns children with additional needs will miss out, if the service is cut.
Falkirk Council is facing a budget gap of nearly £28 million this year.
Plans to close the gap could include a rise in council tax, increased school meals prices and higher childcare fees.
A Falkirk Council spokesperson said:
"Interrupted Learning Service is one of a number of proposals being considered for a budget saving.
"Should this proposal be taken, we will work with all schools and young people in families to ensure a bespoke individualised timetable or plan is created, to allow them to engage in the learning and qualifications they are embarking on, and support a positive transition from school."
