Falkirk residents could see their council tax rise by 7% next year.
Falkirk Council documents show the local authority will debate plans next Wednesday to increase rates by 7%.
A report says the current level of council tax is "not sustainable".
The local authority is facing a budget shortfall of nearly £26 million for the next financial year.
They will debate the idea at the start of March.
