A UCU Union ballot result shows overwhelming support for industrial action.
Stirling University staff are set to strike, after a ballot by UCU Union members voted in favour of industrial action.
No dates for the walk-outs have been set yet, as employers could come back to the negotiating table with an offer that suits the demands of the union.
Around 150 universities in total are expected to take part in the strikes.
The decision has been made following disputes over pay, working conditions and pension cuts.
