Family of teenager killed in crash to sue driver

The family of a teenager who died in a Bannockburn crash have launched a bid to sue the driver.

19-year-old Kyle Marshall died after a car driven by his friend, Charles Gray, crashed on the A91 near Bannockburn Interchange in March 2024.

Kyle, and 17-year-old Jayden McConnell, died at the scene.

Gray passed his test only the month before the crash.

He was later acquitted of causing the deaths following a trial at Stirling Sheriff Court last year.

A Digby Brown spokesman said “A civil action has now been raised in the Court of Session on behalf of the loved ones of Kyle to help them secure answers, support and recognition.

“It would be inappropriate to comment further at this time however we will continue to support the Marshall family during this time.”
