Central FM Awards 2026 - Carer of The Year Award

We’re delighted to bring the Carer of the Year Hero award with GG On Two Wheels to recognise those individuals who have gone above and beyond. 

 
This is your chance to nominate that special someone who looks after your loved one and goes that extra mile in their care.  It could be a support worker in the community, a carer/nurse, a member of staff in a nursing home or quite simply someone that looks after others and makes them feel good.   

GG on Two Wheels was created to honour the memory of George’s wife Gaynor,  following her death in Strathcarron Hospice in April 2025.   George and Gaynor's family and friends were determined to raise money for the hospice in Gaynor’s memory.

9 months later and having raised over £65,000 for the hospice, George and his friends have decided that we’d like to do more. With this in mind, we have applied to OSCR (Scotland’s charity regulator) to become a Scottish Grant Giving Charity.

They have one clear mission.

GG on Two Wheels exists to demonstrate that grief, when channelled into purpose, becomes a powerful force for good.

They provide aid to people in need through direct financial support to individuals and families across central Scotland who face poverty, illness, and mental health challenges.
