17:15 - Martyn Day from the SNP has been elected as the MSP for Falkirk East and Linlithgow. Labour were second, with Reform in third.
16:50 - The SNP's Gary Bouse has been elected as the MSP for Falkirk West. Reform were second, with Labour in third.
16:20 - Lorna Slater has won Edinburgh Central for the Greens - defeating cabinet minister Angus Robertson.
16:15 - The BBC is forecasting the SNP will be the largest party at Holyrood, but will fall just short of an overall majority.
16:10 - Keith Brown has been re-elected as the MSP for Clackmannanshire and Dunblane. The SNP's depute leader has represented the area since 2007. Labour were second, with Reform in third
15:35 - The SNP's Alyn Smith has been elected as the MSP for Stirling. Conservative Stephen Kerr was in second, with Labour's Kainde Manji in third. Smith was elected with a margin of more than 7,000.
15:25- We're expecting the Stirling and Falkirk West results very shortly.
14:50 - First Minister and SNP leader John Swinney says the SNP will be "by far" the largest party at the election.
14:40 - Falkirk East and Linlithgow candidate Paul McGarry says his party has more than doubled their Central Scotland and Lothians West list vote - but may fall "just short" of a list seat in the region.
14:20 - We're hearing a result in Stirling could be close - with a declaration expected just before 3pm.
14:15 - First Minister and SNP leader John Swinney has won his seat in Perthshire North.
14:00 - Labour leader Anas Sarwar says there's a "general dissatisfaction" with politics at this election.
14:00 - Falkirk West SNP Gary Bouse has arrived at the count to a "rapturous" reception - the SNP group are very confident of holding on to the seat.
13:45 - Alloa and Grangemouth MP Brian Leishman has been speaking to Central FM News - he says the electorate is "scunnered". He's also called for Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer to go.
13:15 - Clackmannanshire and Dunblane turnout was 55.8% - that's a decrease from 66.4% in 2021.
13:05 - Turnout in Falkirk East and Linlithgow is 55.26% - that's down from 62.9% in 2021.
12:45 - Turnout in Falkirk West is 52.3% - that's down from 62.2% five years ago.
12:40 - Turnout in Stirling is 58.35% - that's down from 69.3% in 2021.
12:10 - We're hearing the turnout for Stirling and one of the Falkirk constituencies will be announced in the next half hour.
11:40 - Former Scottish Conservative leader Douglas Ross has said his party won't come second in this year's election.
11:15 - Falkirk West Conservative candidate Neil Benny says his party's vote is holding up on the peach ballot - and they should get "at least" one MSP elected in the Central Scotland and Lothians West region.
11:00 - Scottish Greens co-leader Gillian Mackay has been speaking to us in Grangemouth. She says it's looking "positive" for her party - and the aim is for at least one Green MSP in every region.
10:50 - Stirling Council leader, and SNP councillor Susan McGill says she's "quietly confident" of a good result for the SNP.
10:45 - Clackmannanshire and Dunblane SNP candidate Keith Brown says he's "very pleased" with both the campaign, and the "strong support" for the SNP. Brown is the SNP depute leader, and has represented the area since 2007.
10:30 - Stirling's Labour MP Chris Kane has called the campaign “both nerve wracking and exciting” - and says Labour put forward "an exceptionally well-thought out manifesto".
10:15 - The Electoral Commission says voting went "smoothly" across the country - although there have been a couple of cases of electoral fraud in Glasgow and Giffnock.
9:50 - Falkirk West Reform candidate Richard Fairley says they'll give the SNP "a fright", and will "definitely" pick up list votes in Central Scotland and Lothians West.
9:45 - We've been speaking to candidates across the area. Falkirk East and Linlithgow SNP candidate Martyn Day tells us he's hopeful of a good result for his party. Stirling Conservative candidate Stephen Kerr says he's "anxious" to find out about the turnout at this year's election. He says there hasn't been the same level of engagement as usual across Stirling.
9:15 - The Press Association has put out a list of predicted declaration times across Scotland. Local estimated result times include:
Clackmannanshire and Dunblane - 4pm
Falkirk East and Linlithgow - 4:30pm
Falkirk West - 4pm
Stirling - 4pm
Central Scotland and Lothians West - 5pm
Mid Scotland and Fife - 5:30pm
9:00 - Counting has begun in the Scottish Parliament election. We're expecting the results later on today. The SNP currently hold all four local constituencies, and will be looking to retain them at this election.
The Mid Scotland and Fife list vote will be announced in Glenrothes, while the Central Scotland and Lothians West ballot will be declared in Motherwell.

People across the Forth Valley went to the polls yesterday.
Counting begins at 9am - with the constituency votes expected mid-afternoon.
We're expecting the list results to come in by around 6pm.
