Police were called to the scene shortly after midday on Wednesday 27th September.
Police have arrested a 54-year-old man following an assault at Grangemouth Sports Complex this afternoon.
Emergency services arrived at the premises at around 12:15pm.
A 50-year-old man was taken to to hospital by ambulance.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 12.15pm on Wednesday, 27 September, 2023, we were called to a report of an assault in the Abbots Road area of Grangemouth.
“Emergency services attended and a 50-year-old man was taken to hospital by ambulance.
"A 54-year-old man has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing."
Meanwhile, a Falkirk Council spokesperson said: “Due to an earlier Police incident, we have temporarily closed the gym at Grangemouth Sports Complex until further notice.”
