The body of a teenage girl has been found in Stenhousemuir.
Emergency services were called to a wooded area near McLachlan Street yesterday afternoon.
The family of missing 16-year-old Jasmine Ferguson have been made aware.
The death is not believed to be suspicious.
A Police Scotland statement said:
"Around 4.15pm on Thursday, 3 September, 2026, we received a report of a body found in a wooded area near McLachlan Street in Stenhousemuir.
Formal identification has yet to take place but the family of Jasmine Ferguson, 16, reported missing from the town, are aware.
The death is not believed to be suspicious and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course."
