Falkirk Council are set to formally approve plans to increase the distance at which children are eligible for free school transport.
Under the changes, primary kids would need to live more than two miles away.
Secondary pupils who live three miles away will qualify for free bus travel.
More than 1,000 are set to miss out on free school transport as a result of the proposal.
89% of people who responded to a Council survey say they disagree with the idea.
It's expected to save the local authority £625,000.
