Four people injured after being hit by car in Alloa

Four people have been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Alloa.

The incident happened at around 2:40pm yesterday on the A907 Clackmannan Road, and involved a grey Kia Ceed.

The road was closed for resurfacing works.

A 12-year-old boy was airlifted to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow. His condition is described as serious.

A 43-year-old woman was taken by road ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with minor injuries and released following treatment.

An eight-year-old boy and an 81-year-old woman were taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital and released following treatment.

Police are asking anyone with information to get in touch,

The driver, a 70-year-old man, was taken to hospital to be checked over.

Inspector David Marr, of Forth Valley Road Policing Unit, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing to anyone who saw what happened to get in touch.

“If you were driving in the area around the time, particularly just before the incident happened, then please check any dash-cam you have in case something has been captured that could help with our investigation.”
