A group in Stenhousemuir say they're expecting a rise in the number of people turning to them for help this summer.
KLSB Community Group support vulnerable families across the area.
The group says demand will rise during the school holidays, with additional pressure on families when free school meals are unavailable.
They're aiming to raise £500 to provide 500 meals for local people during summer.
The group say:
"Our 500 Meals for £500 campaign has been launched to help local families who may struggle during the school summer holidays when free school meals are unavailable.
The aim is to raise £500, which will help us provide up to 500 meals to families across our communities. The funding will be used to top up food and meal ingredients that have been generously donated by local businesses and members of the community, allowing us to create simple, nutritious meals that families can prepare at home.
At KLSB Community Group, we support people across Larbert, Stenhousemuir and the wider Falkirk area through our community pantry, food support services and emergency food provision. During school holidays, we often see a significant increase in demand from families who are finding it difficult to make ends meet.
We're asking people to support the campaign in any way they can. Whether that's making a donation, donating food through one of our collection points, or simply sharing the campaign with friends and family, every contribution helps us reach more local people in need.
If anyone would like to find out more or support the campaign, they can visit our website at klsb.org.uk or find KLSB Community Group on Facebook."
