A meeting is being held today to discuss the future of the oil refinery in Grangemouth.
Petroineos has announced plans to turn the refinery into a fuel import terminal - with 400 jobs at risk.
The meeting is being chaired by Energy Secretary Neil Gray.
Representatives from trade unions, industry bodies, and Falkirk Council will also take part.
The Energy Security Minister Graham Stuart says it wouldn't be "sensible" to use taxpayers money to keep the Grangemouth oil refinery open.
He's said it would take around £40 million of taxpayer funds to keep the site in operation.
