Pre-determination hearing for Larbert AI data centre

A pre-determination hearing is taking place today on plans for a major AI data centre in Larbert.

Campaigners against the plans will be given the opportunity to present their case to council officials.

Thousands of people have submitted objections to the plans from Apatura.

They've raised concerns about the impact it would have on public health.

A major public meeting was held last week on the issue.

More than 20,000 people have signed a petition to Holyrood, calling for a halt on AI data centres across Scotland.

Protests have also been held across the area.
