Protest against Larbert AI data centre

A major protest is being held later against plans for an AI data centre in Larbert.

Thousands of people have raised objections to the plans by Apatura.

It would create a data centre just hundreds of metres from Forth Valley Royal Hospital.

Campaigners are gathering at the roundabout at Glenbervie.

A public meeting is also being held next month, at the Dobbie Hall in Larbert.

Concerns have been raised about the public health implications of the site.

A post on the "Say No To Larbert Data Centre" Facebook page, advertising the protest, says:

"Our next protest needs to be our biggest and strongest yet. We'd love to see even more people there, with bigger banners, more signs, and even more community spirit.

Information leaflets and posters will be available on the day, so please come along, bring your family and friends, and help us send a clear message.

Let's make this one even bigger and impossible to ignore."
