New data shows house prices in Stirling have risen by nearly 20% in the last six years.
Meanwhile, private rents have risen by 60% in the last decade - and 31% since 2021.
Stirling Council is looking at ways to manage demand for housing across the area.
The figures, from a report discussed tomorrow by Stirling Council, show:
- House prices in Stirling (at 2023/24) are higher than Scotland across all analysed price segments, with the lower quartile price of £140,200 - 18% higher than the national price.
- The median Stirling price is £205,000 - 11% higher than the national price.
- House prices in Stirling have seen significant price growth between 2019/20 and 2023/24, with median prices increasing by 19% (similar to the national trend), and lower quartile prices increasing by 27%.
- Private rents in the Forth Valley have increased by 60% over the last 10 years - including a 31% increase in the last five years.
