Young people charged after Bo'ness incidents

Police say they're clamping down on anti-social behaviour after a number of incidents in Bo'ness.

Eight young people have been charged after a spate of attacks.

It includes vandalism to four train carriages, four garages being set on fire, and a derelict property being set ablaze.

Officers say enquiries are still ongoing - and there could be more arrests.

A statement on Police Scotland Forth Valley's Facebook page says:

"Numerous acts of Anti-Social Behaviour have taken place in the town of Bo’ness in the last couple of weeks including Vandalism to 4 train carriages on the 27th March 2026, Wilful fire raising to 4 garages at Muirend Court on the 7th April 2026 and a further act of Wilful fire raising to a derelict property on Philpingstone Lane on the 19th April 2026.  As a result of the acts of Anti-social behaviour, PC’s Boyle and McDougall from the Bo’ness Community Policing Team have successfully identified and charged 8 youths so far with enquiries still currently ongoing to establish the identities of the other youths involved.  Sergeant Wallace from the Bo’ness and Braes Community Team would like to take the opportunity to thank the members of the public who have taken the time to assist police with their enquiries"
