A new half marathon will be held in Stirling next year.
Thousands of runners will take to the streets on Sunday 16th May.
Entries for the half marathon open later this year.
It's being organised by Up and Running Events, in partnership with London Marathon Events.
They also run the Loch Ness Marathon and Inverness Half Marathon.
Hugh Brasher, CEO of London Marathon Events, commented: “We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Up and Running Events for the inaugural Stirling Half Marathon in 2027. At the heart of both organisations is a shared commitment to inspiring people of all ages and abilities to lead active lives while engaging with the communities that host our events. Stirling, with its beautiful landscapes and rich heritage, is the perfect backdrop for this exciting new event. We look forward to collaborating with Up and Running Events and local partners to deliver an unforgettable event that truly celebrates the spirit of Stirling.”
