New data shows nearly 4000 potholes were recorded in Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Stirling last year.
In the 12 months to May, 3817 were logged across the Forth Valley.
Meanwhile, more than £21 million was spent on road repairs.
The figures come from a Freedom of Information request by Central FM News.
The FOI by Central FM News asked the following four questions:
1) How much money was spent on roadworks and road improvements in the area between 1st May 2024 and 30th April 2025?
2) How many potholes were recorded in the area between 1st May 2024 and 30th April 2025?
3) How much money was spent on roadworks and road improvements in the area between 1st May 2025 and 30th April 2026?
4) How many potholes were recorded in the area between 1st May 2025 and 30th April 2026?
The responses were received were as follows:
1) Money spent on roadworks between 1st May 2024 and 30th April 2025 - Stirling Council £14,150,000, Falkirk Council £7,134,347 , Clackmannanshire Council £1,081,508
2) Potholes recorded between 1st May 2024 and 30th April 2025 - Stirling Council 1206, Falkirk Council 2266, Clackmannanshire Council 399
3) Money spent on roadworks between 1st May 2025 and 30th April 2026 - Stirling Council £14,173,800, Falkirk Council £5,591,890, Clackmannanshire Council £1,780,297
4) Potholes recorded between 1st May 2024 and 30th April 2025 - Stirling Council 1243, Falkirk 2198, Clackmannanshire Council 376
