Falkirk Council spent £300,000 on cycling roadworks

Falkirk Council have revealed the amount of money they've spent on this year's UCI Cycling World Championships.

Data from a Freedom of Information request by Central FM News shows the local authority has spent around £300,000.

It includes roadworks to repair surfaces across the region.

Falkirk hosted part of the men's elite road race on Sunday 6th August, which ran from Edinburgh to Glasgow.

The finalised cost of hosting the event is still to be confirmed.
