Labour's Margaret Brisley has been confirmed as the new Leader of Stirling Council.
It follows the election of Chris Kane as Stirling & Strathallan MP at the recent general election.
Brisley, who is a former teacher, has represented residents across the area since 1980.
The change has been confirmed at a special meeting of Stirling Council.
Labour's Gerry McGarvey is the new Deputy Leader.
The party is running a minority administration, with no party winning a majority of seats at the 2022 local election.
